Day 90 – “Dear Athletes”

As some of you may know, my inspirational figure for PCP was “Triathlon Guy” … And I am pleased to announce that it is official ...  I AM a TRIATHLETE!

Last week I enrolled in the HKFC Triathlon Club and today I received my first email from the Club Capitan and it was addressed to ME as  …“Dear Athlete(s)”… My inspiration is now a reality … I am an ATHLETE and that happened without me taking a single step onto the Triathlon course.  But in many ways I have taken what is probably the most difficult step ... I have prepared by mind and body … and I have signed on to become “Triathlon Guy”.

The PCP journey has been great.  To be honest, it has not been as hard as I might have imagined.  The trick to completing PCP is being consistent, having a routine and each and every day taking small steps towards the end goal.  Sounds a bit like life?

PR and Chen (wherever you are) you have created an amazing programme and, while it does take discipline to follow, its simple and gets great results.  Well done man and thank you.  Thanks to Team Might Mouse for their support. Marcus and Brent – thanks for giving us some color on the science behind PCP and have fun beating the shit out of each other … Meg, you look awesome and I loved the honesty of your blogs.  Fergus and Terri it was great to see how a couple of dedicated foodies could get thru PCP – well done.  Mini and Kos I look forward to catching up after PCP and hearing more about your PCP experiences.  Lastly, and mostly, Harumi and Jay – thanks for putting up with my PCP “bullshit” and emotional highs and lows – most particularly on our holiday road trip when you lovingly prepared my PCP portions and carried around my veggies and boiled eggs.  Thanks sweetheart!

Being the last day of PCP I went down to the gym and terminated by gym membership. Conway Gym is the place for me.   Before I terminated the membership I did my monthly body composition analysis, which was supervised by the usual beefy, muscle bound trainer.  He was absolutely flabbergasted that I had been able to achieve the results I had while not pumping blobs of iron.  The overall score for my Body Composition was 90 – which, apparently, according to Beefy Trainer is “Elite Status”. Progress over PCP is set out below:

Day 1
Day 20
Day 60
Day 90
Chg
Weight (kg)
93.7
87.7
80.9
80.1
↓13.6
Body Fat (kg)
22.0
17.0
12.2
10.4
↓11.6
Body Fat (%)
23.5
19.4
15.1
12.9
↓10.6
Visceral Fat Area
124.8
109.4
60.5
34.4
↓90.4 !!

So overall I lost 13.6kg and my body fat percentage went from 23.5% to 12.9%.  The best change for me was in the Visceral Fat Area.  Visceral fat, also known as organ fat or intra-abdominal fat, is located inside the peritoneal cavity, packed in between internal organs and torso. High levels of visceral fat are statistically associated with a higher risk of heart disease, hypertension and diabetes.  As predicted by PR this fat was the hardest to lose but dropped like a stone in the last few weeks of PCP.  My VFA has fallen from 124.8 to 34.4 which gives me the body of 20 year old!

I am little bummed by the overall weight on my final day.  Not sure why my weight jumped to 80.1kg on the last day.  I swear for the last week it has been hovering around the 77-78kg but who gives a rats … I agree with PR it’s not about the scales its how you look and feel, and I feel pretty good.

And now for the final pics:

Cooling down at gym Conway after my final work out.

Before and after shots (Yikes – who is that guy on the left!)

So … see you on the Tri Course.  It’s also probably time for a hair cut – which has remained unkempt during the entire PCP program.

Day 86 - The 70s Baby...

I really thought those Boogie Woogie Nights were over for me ... But ... the 70s are back and I am consistently seeing 77-78 kg on the scales in the morning.  That is down 14-15 kg from the start of PCP.   I know the PCP culture is not to have tunnel vision and focus too much on our weight but I have not weighed that much since University.  My goal, when I started PCP, was 85 kg and to find that I have blitzed my with goal is amazing.   Thanks PR.   So as an ode to 70s here is some Boogie Woogie disco baby ...  See you at that other end in 5 days time.

Day 84 – Or whatever… Return of the Prodigal PCPer

Finally back to Hong Kong after 3 weeks of travel around Australia and Japan.  I managed to squeeze one blog rushing between flights at Chitose airport in Hokkaido where I set out my PCP “Confessions”.

Amazingly, in the 3 weeks away I managed to do almost all of my daily exercises and followed my diet except for a few (entirely explainable) indiscretions.  Highlights of the trip where; Fishing off Western Heads in Sydney, Kutchan Potato Festival, Mount Yotei Climb,  Furano Lavender Fields, Shiretoko National Park (all in Hokkaido Japan) and Noto Summer Festival (Kanazawa, Japan).   My only regret I was not taking some pics of my skipping rope in some of these locations … but here is a couple of sample pics.

One PCP relevant highlight was that I was able to power thru the 6 hour Mount Yotei climb, and particularly on the way down, I felt like Superman – thanks to those Pistol Squats my knees have never felt so strong.

One lowlight was that I managed to get out of sync with my calendar and on the last leg of my trip, I thought Saturday was Wednesday and sent PR a desperate email demanding my new diet and exercise only to realise I had another 3 days before the end of the week!

Anyway new profile pics up … and looking good at 78kg!  Down about 14kg from the start of PCP.

Day 77 - Confessions

Dear Lord (and PR and TMM), It has been nearly 3 weeks since my last PCP blog and I have sinned.... But Not as much as could have or would have thought. Since my last blog, I have skipped my exercises twice and had only 2 non compliant boozy nights. Not bad considering I have been on the road for over 2 weeks. My trip started in Australia (Melbourne and sydney) and then to Hokkaido in Japan. Pleased to report that one non PCP compliant day was in Sydney where I was I up at 430am on friday for fishing off western heads ... the way I saw it ... Balancing on a the deck of a rocking of the boat for 4 hours would burn more calories than 20 mins of skipping and pulling in 30lb snapper all day was at least equivalent to 5 sets of 20 curls ... However, I did not quite work out how to do those Kung fu's ... Anyway great day out ... Except for the gorging on half box of cheddar crackers and having to get rescued by sydney water police.

Day 62 - A new type of air sickness

On the road traveling to oz. In preparation for the flight I packed my headphones, ipad, 2 boiled eggs and steamed veg for my airplane dinner. For breakfast ... and I am warning you, don't ever do this ... I ordered the low fat airplane meal ... it was foul... got off the plane and went straight to the gym with my jumprope and bands. powered through the exercises and feeling great - except for the airplane food.

Day 59 - “Daddy I need a diet”

It looks like my new PCP body is finally getting noticed by those around me.  Lately, my six year old son, Jay, has been running around poking out his tummy saying that he "needs a diet"..   He has also been getting slightly upset at dinner times because he can’t have an apple and an egg white …. Give me a break.

P.S. my son has about as much fat on him as Gollum.... come to think of it he looks a lot like Gollum... must be his mum's side.... please don't tell Mrs Ferrier about this blog.

Day 58 - Early Morning Grunting

I feel a bit like PCP is taking over my life.  I wake up at 5.30am (more lately 6.00am, thank god for school holidays) and crawl out of bed for my PCP exercise fix.  The exercises are taking longer now ... about an hour ... and at the end of it I'm a quivering mess.  Most days I am able to exercises outside which is pretty cool ... however, I am little concerned that the neighbours will start complaining about all the early morning Grunting ... Groaning ... Cursing ... and Swearing ... mainly about PCP and other people/things I HATE.

Day 57 - Double In Dulgence

As I said before never tell a compulsive man he can indulge … Twice.  I got Patrick’s email on Friday … (note to PK can you PLEASSSE send the indulgence emails AFTER the weekend).  I was thinking about a nice dinner with Mrs. Ferrier but, unfortunately, she was not feeling that great.  So I caught up with a mate in SoHo… 5-10 beers (I lost count) later and things were looking pretty shabby and yes … I felt very sick and skipped dinner altogether   But … you can’t keep a good man down and Sat night I ate my PCP apple and egg white dinner and planned to attend a friends birthday where I would just have my usual fresh lemon soda … unfortunately that plan didn’t work out and we ended up at a another friends going away dinner at a very nice French private kitchen … I ordered the pigs knuckle that look like it belonged to a rhino... yikes a "Rhino Knuckle"??. Some nice French wine and that was a enjoyable  indulgence and it felt great.

Day 47 - Sorry PR but the dog ate all your emails …

WTF … Homework !!?@ .. I didn’t sign up for this.  PR is trying to get us to do homework.  Hey, we are adults and we don’t DO homework.  What’s next?  A pop quiz?  What if I don’t do our homework?  The Naughty Chair?

I have been giving some thought as to some excuses that I might use for not doing it.  Well to tell the truth … not much thought other than to type “homework excuses” into Google.  My personal favourite is number 51….

1. I was doing it while I was taking a shit and wiped my ass with it by accident.

2. My house is being fumigated and I don't want to go in there and suffocate just to get it.

3. A bunch of nerds stole it to make sure theirs were completely perfect.

4. I didn't do it because I spent all night doing the previous night's homework.

5. My skimpy printer ran out of ink.

6. I let somebody copy it but they never gave it back.

7. I skipped it to spite you and your authority.

8. I have a life.

9. Would $50.00 give me another day to complete the assignment?

10. I left it in my locker with last week's assignment.

11. It wasn't challenging enough.

12. It was too challenging.

13. I didn't think I needed to.

14. Joe asked Ashley out! Homework? Right..

15. I was hacking into the school computer network but my crappy computer crashed and I stayed up until 3:30 reformatting my hard drive. I fixed it, but fell asleep at the keyboard before I could try again.

16. One of the textbook's word problems offended me. I'm not supporting them by doing any more of their problems.

17. I just...didn't feel like it.

18. My cat pissed on it thinking it was a newspaper that we put down for her.

19. I'm an environmentalist. Two sheets of looseleaf paper? That's a tree!

20. I did it, but I'm not turning it in because one of the commas is out of shape. Erasing it would smudge it and whiting it out would make it smell funny. You know I'm a perfectionist!

21. I'm failing anyway, so what's the point?

22. I'd get a better grade not doing it and studying then doing it and not having any time to study.

23. It's only 25% of my grade!

24. Where'd you get that wig?

25. A mad circus clown stole it on my bus stop and tried luring me into his house with it.

26. We had homework?

27. My palm pilot broke.

28. The bus seat was too wet to finish it this morning.

29. I couldn't find the answer book in the library.

30. I got hungry...

31. I'm afraid that if I try, I'll keep failing.

32. History repeats itself. I didn't do my homework last week.

33. I couldn't find a writing utensil.

34. I was at an amusement park all day yesterday.

35. Hey, look! There's an elephant outside!

36. I used it for spitballs.

37. I didn't finish copying it yet.

38. It was too boring.

39. ANTS!

40. John took it and put his name on it.

41. I didn't do it.

42. It is absent.

43. It is on vacation.

44. I see dead people.

45. It was raining and I slipped and the paper fell and it got muddy and when I cleaned it off the ink was all gone and I tried to copy someone's paper, but the copier ran out of ink and my computer was broken so I couldn't print it.

46. What is homework? (use on first day of school)

47. I didn't do it bitch.

48. I went to the mall with my friends. Do you know what friends are?

49. I spent all my money for pens and paper at the store on condoms and lubricant. Trojan man! Da da da duh daaaa!

50. My piece of advice: homework does not make good spitballs.

51. I am doing this cultish fitness and health program that makes me too damn tired too do any thing but sleep, eat and exercise.

Day 45 - Blasting Through It...

Great session in the rain with the "Rope" this morning.  In 14 mins and only tripped once.
Feeling good and Half Way There...

Day 44 - Carbs Craving

It's not all smooth sailing here at Gym Conway.  On Sunday afternoon I was at the Stoep, a well known Hong Kong beach BBQ hang out, with the family and friends.  And I heard a familiar voice ... its ok, try me, take a big sip, its a hot day, you deserve it ... Of course, it was the friendly and comforting call of the dreaded Beer Sirens!    But like Ulysses I strapped my self to the chair ... and ordered my usual lemon squash...

All in all a great day at the beach ... despite the dreaded Beer Sirens.

Day 42 - Little Barstards of Muscle

Nearly half way through and this is where PR says it starts to get tough.  So GO HARD or GO HOME!  Exercises are getting harder and longer (2mins x 7 reps of jump rope does not sound fun).   So com'on Team Might Mouse lets give those Little Barstards of Muscle a fight!!

Day 39 - Iron Man or Triathalon Guy

I have a small confession to make… I really wanted my Inspiration Guy to be Robert Downey’s character in Iron Man. How cool is RDJ as Tony Stark in that movie? But I thought it was a bit childish to choose a such a "big" character. But I have to tell you I do secretly LOVE Tony Stark … there I said it … why? I hear you say. Well because he gets to play with cool toys (Scarlett and Gwyneth), drive fast cars, blow things up, and gives the digit to authority. Pretty childish and I LOVE IT …

Instead I chose Triathlon Guy … who is also pretty cool I guess … well done Triathlon Guy … I love you too … whoever you are.

Day 36 – A Pain in the Neck

Please help me.  I have given the “8min Abs” video a couple of runs and I have decided to rename this video “8mins of Excruciating Neck Pain”.  I am not sure what I am going wrong but my neck is in absolute agony.  Am I flexing too much?  Or rotating too much?  I don’t know… To find out what I am doing wrong I have made a short clip of the action that I am experiencing… please help.  “It Burns…It Burns…It Burns”

Day 30 - Now That's CREEPY

Day 30 and one third of the way there... Exercises are starting to get challenging and really feeling the burn.  BRING IT Baby.. One thing that Patrick mentioned in an email was to focus on your inspirational person, which in my case is "Triathlon Guy"... However, I find it is better to focus on a different image for each exercise.  While doing "THE CREEP" I find one image particularly helpful ...

You don't want to know what image I think of during a pull up.

Day 26 - An Indulgence ... or Two

Never ever tell a compulsive man he can "Indulge".

I knew exactly what I wanted as soon as I opened the email from Patrick ... I was born for this ... A "Deluxe Special" Burger at the Sportsman Bar  ... The problem was that there was no way I was going to stop there and after whoofing down the "Deluxe" I was compelled to wash it down with a Stella.  I ate that Deluxe so fast I didn't even taste it.  Absolutely Fantastic!!

Day - 25 Aaarrrrgghhhhh !!!!

What the F!  Those V-sits are a disaster!  I only managed to do one ... and I think I pretty much got the noise I made while doing it...

Friday, 24 June 2011

Day 24 – Whatever it rakes …

Whatever it takes is the PCP motto here.  I have been struggling to find a place to do pull ups and I still haven’t ordered a pull up bar … so after an extensive search of Latissimus Dorsi muscle movements and muscle kinesiology I have come up with the my own version of the pull up … the “rake up” …. And holy crap this works.  After the exercises this morning [including the dreaded “rake up”] I could barely lift my arms up to wash my hair.  Even forgot to put gel in my hair this morning.

For the first time since PCP I found the exercises really tough … really struggling to finishing them all and feeling the burn.  It’s 5.30pm in the afternoon and my arms still feel achy and jellyish .   Had a fitful sleep last night… had a clogged nose and ended up taking 2 Panadol and still woke up at 4.30am.  Feeling very tired and lethargic.  Struggled thru the exercises and had a head ache and blocked nose all through the day.  Eventually decided to leave work at around 3pm.  Is this PCP telling my body something??

Wednesday, 22 June 2011

Day 22 - Cha.. cha... cha... changes

I have been thinking about Patrick's recent email asking us to post about the changes we are experiencing.

1. Body shape.  This is the biggest change, by far.  I have lost about 3 inches off my waist in the first 3 weeks of PCP.  About a 1 inch a week.  At this rate should have a 19 inch waist!! ... Kate Moss eat your heart out.  New pics are up but they really don't tell the whole story... I feel thinner than the pic suggest.

2. Clarity of thought.  I seem to be more focused and able to work on one thing longer, rather than jumping all over the place, that is except for blogging and jump rope.

3. No zits, no rashes! Thank god.

4. Sleep better but seem to need less sleep.   SCRATCH THAT!! Last night had an awful nights fitful sleep....

Diet is OK and don't feel hungry.  I am now on zero carbs for Dinner so we will see how that goes.  Exercises seem fine.  Although, I have a little confession to make.  I actually felt disappointed when I woke up reached and realised that we didn't have to do exercises only 1,000 jump rope.  That is really SICK.  I need help...  from David B.

Day 20 - Bye Bye Gym

Sorry guys and gals it has been a while since I blogged.   Went to the gym today to cancel (well at least to suspend for a couple months) my membership.  Egads! what am I going to do a lunchtimes?  I really need to find something to do to break up the day.

I also did a body composition analysis on one of those groovy machines that measures everything from toe nail length to the diameter of your hair follicles.  The good news is that I have gone from:

Weight 93.7kg to 87.7kg
Body Fat Mass 22kg to 17kg
Body Fat % 23.4% to 19.4%

Here is the proof:

Day 16 - The Incredible Shrinking Belt

Belt is down 2 notches but you wouldn't know it from the new weekly photos.  Jeez, I was large and still got a ways to go.   Can't seem to get off the 88kg mark.

Wednesday, 15 June 2011

Day 15 - Short Kellogg

Just finished watching the videos that Patrick circulated answering our Week 2 questions.  It seems like P.R. actually does exist.  Not sure about this Chen bloke though... convinced he is a cardboard cut out.  Anyway, the video was great.  Very motivational.  Questions well answered (mostly) but I am going to have an issue with this breakfast cereal thing which I intend to take up with Patrick in a private "no holds barred" chat room.   Enjoying the new diet and exercises fine.  Need to do more stretching and finally buy that chin up bar.

Tuesday, 14 June 2011

Day 14 - You Numb Nut!

The numbness in my Quad muscle hasn't gone away yet but my shredded hip flexors seem to be slowing improving.  Strangely, the injuries have not affected my exercises which is good news.

I think I may have worked out what caused the current numbness in my Quad.  Ice!  Yes Ice.  When I stained my hip flexor I put Ice on for about 15mins and I might have caused some nerve damage!  I think I'm falling apart... but not to worry .... it's onward and upwards with PCP - with shredded hip flexors and numb quads.  I can hardly wait to find out what breaks next.

Sunday, 12 June 2011

Day 12 - Squashed

After consistently seeing the 80s on the scales I was feeling pretty chuffed and went out on Sat night to our squash section pool party and had a few too many drinks.  Correction ... way too many drinks.  I didn't take my camera because pretty much everyone gets thrown in the the pool ... but stay tuned for some daft photos...  Woke up this morning with a nasty hangover and decided to do exercises Sunday afternoon ...  Even in the afternoon bouncing up and down on the spot was not good for my hangover headache  I have promised myself that will remain booze free for the rest of PCP.

Managed to stick to the diet but found myself craving for a greasy breaky. I could have used some cooking lessons from this guy

My dual shredded hip flexors seem to be improving but I have this numbness in my right thigh ... which I don't think has anything to do with the self inflicted numbness from last night.  I hope it goes away.

Friday, 10 June 2011

Day 10 - The 80s Baby!

Remember when Phil Colins had hair and Michael Jackson was black.  Those days are back again and I am consistently seeing an 88 kg on the scales!  Oh Yeahhh.... This is down 4kg from 92 kg when I started PCP so pretty pleased and that is despite a double strain of both hip flexors...  no pain no gain is the motto here Baby!

The way I see it 4kg every 10days, so in the next 80 days I should be a little ball of muscle that weighs 56kg!  Bring IT!

So here it is ... Mullets, Tears for Fears, FYC, and even a little aussie action with INXS and Men at Work... the 80s..

I can't wait for the 70s ... and I'm gunning for it.

Thursday, 9 June 2011

Day 9 - The King (of Lunges) Is Dead!

Damn it!  Started doing lunges slowly again and managed to strain my other hip flexor. &*%  pissed off.  Still able to exercises but in a lot of pain.

Wednesday, 8 June 2011

Day 8 - I'm Lov'in It

Finally some real food and lots of it!  As the Mac jingle goes "I'm Lov'in It".  I am having no problem with all this fresh veg, fruit and fish.  Would you believe I am still hungry after eating almost 2kg of food today!

Exercises ok but feeling a bit tired.  Need more sleep?

Tuesday, 7 June 2011

Day 7 - The King of Lunges

I have worked out that ROUTINE is the secret of PCP.  You fall out of your routine and you fall out of PCP.  Having a holiday on Monday in HK didn't help.  After a nice dim sum lunch for Mrs. Ferrier's birthday (at the swanky new Ritz Carlton joint) we spent the day lounging around home where I was just a little too close to the fridge.  Half portions, I'm afraid, went out the window.  I did however, try to eat well, mainly fruits and vegetables but found myself constantly looking inside the fridge ... perhaps it was the cold air?  I also missed my Nuts (see previous post).  Anyway, things went a little off track wtih the half portions.   Today things are much better on the food front (now that I have my Routine ... and my Nuts).
Dim Sum at the Ritz Carlton - Nice Dim Sum ... but better views.

I also worked out that my shredded quad is not actually my quad but my shredded my hip flexor.  Which is a pain because this is a large muscle and is difficult to fix once strained.  Straining that muscle is big surprise to me because I consider myself to be "King of Lunges".  Even my little blue man has me doing a perfect straight backed Lunge!  No one could out Lunge me ...  now a baby ferret could Lunge better than me.  The upper part of my inner thigh even has a nasty black and blue bruise about 6 inches long.

PS. I will spare you the pic.

Sunday, 5 June 2011

Day 5 - Food Glorious Food ...

Thankfully exercises this morning were Ok, even with a shredded quad.  I can't wait to do those lunges again.

A thimble full of scrambled eggs and slither of turkey bacon for breakfast ain't gonna cut it. Even as I write this I am thinking of Hash Browns, a nice FAT pork sausage and fried eggs ... oooh yeah baby ... that's what I call a breakfast.

Small cheese snack at mid day and was already thinking about lunch.  Lunch was grilled seafood fajitas (I can't even say it let alone spell it) without the tortillas (that's the half I decided to skip).  Dinner was half a steak and a salad... But I'm still hungry. All this discussion about food is making me even more hungry ... I'm going to stop writing now.

Ps. It's Mrs Ferrier's birthday tomorrow and its off to the 103rd floor of the Ritz Carlton for dim sum.... god I am still thinking about food.. Think I'll got to bed now...  one last thought ...

Saturday, 4 June 2011

Day 4 - Pop, Crackle and Snap!

Well it was more like a "Thwack" really.  I was finding the exercises pretty easy so starting pushing on the lunges by going deep and keeping my back straight yada, yada, yada and Thwack/Pop/Snap" bugger me if I didn't feel someone throw a cricket ball right into my groin! Aarrgh! Honestly, I had to look around to see if my 6 year old son had thrown something at me.
Snap Crackle and Pop

I had strained the top part of my quad. I have had pulled muscles before but never, ever from doing fixed exercises. Its always been while playing active sports like squash or football. I feel kind of embarrassed really.  So it was an ice pack for 10 mins.  I soldiered on and managed to finish the sit ups followed by the ice pack again.  I should not have pushed hard so early in the program.  I am hobbling around a bit tonight.  I guess tomorrow morning I might start with some stretching before getting into the exercises.  Half diet was good - drinking lots of water.  And .. oh yeah I managed to find some resistance bands in causeway bay.

Friday, 3 June 2011

Day 3 - Nuts!

I have no regrets about "skipping" (yikes! ... its in my subconscious now!) out after only one martini last night.  Up bright and early at 6am and straight into the exercises.  The exercises don't seem to be a problem at the moment and I'm looking forward to cranking it up a bit (I know I will regret saying that!!).

I have decided to take the half portions more seriously now and for breakfast had what seemed like a thimble of scrambled eggs and a slither of ham ... ouch ... this is going to be tough.  Fortunately, I thought about Patrick's email this morn' and having a strategy to "get your mouth busy" ... sounds positively obscene.  Anyway my strategy was ... well, Nuts!  I had a bag of almonds in the office and about 3-4 times during the day, when I felt a twinge of hunger, I grabbed 3-4 of them and washed them down with plenty of H2O.  It worked a treat.  15 almonds a day can't hurt, right?

I am having some problems tracking down resistance bands and a pull up bar in Central, HK.  I think there must be some "PCP lurkers" out there that have cornered the "band and bar" market and I'm sure next week, just when we need them most, you will see "band and bar" price jump 300%.  You gotta love HK!

Finally, I got a call from an old work colleague Jono N, who just completed the PCP.  I didn't even know he was doing it until yesterday. Small world and awesome job Jon.  Check out his blog.

Day 2 - Martini Kimchi Meltdown

After reading about all the my fellow PCPers doing half decent job of half breakfasts, half lunches and half dinners I started to feel a half guilty and decided to take the half portion thing more seriously.  All went well until a group of friends hit the Korean BBQ dinner that I had planned prior to PCP.  About half a cow later ... someone suggested martini's at a cozy Japanese bar.. who was I to argue.  I am sure that normally I would have had a dozen so I was lucky to walk out of there after having one.  Job well done.
Exercises were fine... even the skipping and managed to squeeze in some squash.  Justin 3 : Mike 1.

Day 1 - Finally Started

Well we are finally here.  Day 1 of PCP.  First task was a wander around Central (Hong Kong) to try and find a jump rope and push up bars.  I had no idea these things were so popular.  Probably all the PCPers out there.  All the sports shops in Central were sold out and I finally managed to find what I needed in Wing On Dept Store. Got the toys ... so we are all set ...

I haven't skipped since I was 10 years old and was dreading it but the exercises were fine.  Even the skipping ... must be the new jump rope ... But be warned ... we have been told that we are in for some pain.
Diet was a bit of problem.  Not sure if I really ate half my normal portions.  It was more like 75% and feeling ok for now.  Lets see how we go tomorrow.  Also, determined to blog every day around this time....  and add some pics.
